| Chinese Commerce Program |
Brief Introduction
This program is intended for international students with an intermediate Chinese language level, and with interest in Chinese economy (commercial economy). It helps students understand Chinese economic laws and policies in order to adapt themselves to the market economy environment in China.
Features:
1. The program combines the knowledge of Chinese economy with the Chinese language study, making full use of Shanghai Business School as a comprehensive commercial university and taking advantage of Shanghai commerce.
2. With the help of more than 100 visiting professors in Shanghai Business School, students taking this course will be provided with opportunities to have face-to-face exchanges about commercial culture with senior management professionals from some large and medium-sized enterprises in China.

The program offers a series of courses on economy and trade with a selective and organic integration.
Curricula
1. Chinese economy and trade series ― Listening Comprehension of Chinese Economy and Trade, Spoken Chinese for Economy and Trade, Selected Readings of Economic Articles from Newspapers and Periodicals, Economic Practical Writing.
2. Chinese economy series ― Hot Topics about Chinese Economy, Reform in Chinese Economic System, Chinese Laws & Regulations Governing Business Relations with Foreigners, Chinese-Foreign Economic Relations, Chinese Investment Environment.
3. Economy & Trade Activities series ― A Guide to Economic Life, Management of Joint-Venture Companies, International Companies and Chinese Market, Theories and Practices in Finance and Trade.
Practice Activities
1. Face-to-face communication with senior management professionals from some commercial enterprises in Shanghai.
2. Visits to Shanghai commercial enterprises.
3. Tours of scenic spots and historical sites in Shanghai and in its neighboring areas.
Enrollment
Spring semester: from the end of February or early March to early July
Application period: October 8 to December 31 every year
Fall semester: from early September till early January the following year
Application period: May 8 to July 31 every year
Documents Required
1. A completed Application Form (download Application Form)
2. A high school diploma or certificate of its equivalent
3. A copy of passport
4. Four passport-sized photos
Fees
Application fee: RMB 400 per person (starting a course for at least 8 people)
Tuition fee: RMB 9500 per term RMB 19000 per academic year
Registration fee: RMB 200 per term
Practice activity fee: The fee will be collected according to the actual need.
*All the fees are paid in RMB and the exchange rate will be computed according to the rate on the transaction day.
