Application Period
Short-term course: Two months before the course starts till the day when the course begins
Long-term course: Fall semester: May 8 to July 31 every year for students of Chinese Language Program, students of Vocational Education Program and students of Undergraduate Program.
Spring semester: October 8 to December 31 every year for students of Chinese Language Program, students of Vocational Education Program and students of Undergraduate Program.
* Please contact the Admission Office for International Students if you fail to apply before the deadline. You may go through certain formalities according to the specific situation.
Application Procedure
1. Applicants can ask for Application Form from the Admission Office for International Students of SBS by fax, telephone, letters or email.
2. Applicants are required to submit to the International Students Department of SBS the following application documents:
(1) A completed Application Form for International Students to Study at SBS
(2) A photocopy of valid passport
(3) A certificate of education and a copy of transcript (for Vocational Education and Undergraduate Education)
(4)Application fee (submitted personally or by postal remittance)
3. After receiving all the above-mentioned application documents, the International Students Department of SBS will, within 2-4 weeks, mail the applicant the Admission Notice of SBS and the Visa Application Form for Foreigners Wishing to Study in China (JW202 Form).
4. The enrolled student applies to the local Chinese Embassy or the local Chinese Consulate for an X Visa (student visa) with the Admission Notice and the JW202 Form.
5. The enrolled student should register on the date and at the place specified on the Admission Notice. If unable to register on schedule, the student should send a written explanation to the International Students Department of SBS and can postpone the registration only after a permission is given.
